Our members

Our members carry between them a wide range of expertise and knowledge: academics, accountants, administrtors, advisers, authors, businessmen, consultants, dentists, doctors, engineers, lawyers, lecturers, managers, musicians, scientists and teachers. There is ample opportunity to meet new friends before talks and at the informal lunch which follows the talks, at lunches and dinners, and also on the outings organised.
We also arrange a range of outings each year, to musical events and to p;aces of interest.

Our meetings

Our meetings are held monthly at Cardiff Golf Club, Sherbourne Avenue, Cyncoed. Cardiff  CF23 6SJ on the third Thursday morning of each month. We do not have guest speakers on the days of our handover lunch in May nor the Christmas lunch in December, so we have 10 talks each year.

We assemble from 10.15am and can also participate in the raffle and purchase Probus ties, pins etc.

After a brief pastoral and administrative updating session we enjoy a talk by a guest speaker starting at 11.00am. Most members normally stay for the informal single-course lunch after the talk (ordered preferably in advance, current price £10).
